Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.

Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.

As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…

5/5

I absolutely adored Wait for Me so I could not wait to read Be With Me. And it was just as awesome. JLA has a way of capturing you attention and making a story come to life. Her writing style is so easy to follow, the words flow beautifully, and carry so much emotion and so much depth. Yet in true JLA style we find her signature snarky humor that I love so much. I really do love everything this author writes.

Character wise I really liked Teresa. I thought she was a very good protagonist, very strong and tough while at the same time having a vulnerability to her. She came across very mature for her age. The stuff she has gone through with her ex-boyfriend and what she is going through now with her knee injury really tugs at your heart. This poor girl is having just a horrible time and you wonder if things will start to look up for her soon.
Now Jase I did like but I have to say not as much as Cam. Not even Jase and his cupcakes could compete with Cam and his cookies ;) Jase was very hot and cold when it came to his feelings for Tess. He kept going back and forth between wanting to be with her and then pushing her away. This annoyed me as I didn't like him getting Tess's hopes up and leading her on. I could understand why he was so conflicted and my heart did break for him for his situation but I was still annoyed at him. He did have some very sweet moments though.
I loved that we got to see more of Cam and Avery. Cam is just an awesome big brother, I loved watching him and Tess's interactions.

There are a couple twists in the story, one I did not see coming, so I found myself completely engrossed. And of course the steamy scenes helped keep me entertained too ;)
Overall this was a sweet, sexy and suspenseful read. Another great addition to the JLA collection. I can't wait for the next book. I have a feeling I know who it will be about but that could just be wishful thinking :P
